Where does Low Self-esteem come from?

 Here are some issues that may lead you to doubt your abilities.

1. Upbringing and Environment

Sometimes, parents and elders do not pay much attention to what they say to toddlers. But negative talk from the people in your early life can rigidly influence how you perceive yourself as an adult. Growing up in a humble community can force you to minimize your dreams. 

2. Misfortunes and failures:

Death or divorce can take that one person who actually believed in you. So, you will stop believing in yourself. Also, low marks in a Biology test can bring you down.

3. Million Dollar Expectations:

You could grind so hard, chasing your ambitions, but you must accept that the results won’t always be immediate or obvious.

4. Reserving your Emotions:

When in doubt, speaking to others can elevate your spirits. However, a lot of individuals can’t stand being vulnerable. Therefore, they keep all the heavy stuff to themselves. This builds frustration and emotional impairment, which can take a toll on your self-worth.

5. Trashing your own Character:

Low self-esteem can emanate from having a generally negative opinion of yourself. Your toughest critic is you.
